PROFESSIONAL COACH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 3.0
Its been about 6-7 Months since I took over Coach Development
We began by interviewing owners and Mentor coaches. From these interviews we began to see what worked in PCDP 2.0 and what didn’t. Along the way we were pleasantly surprised to find a whole sea of “Littleflowers” in the desert”. These“Littleflowers” were apprentices who made it through to become associate coaches. From them we gleaned a whole basket-full of best practices and it also gave us confidence that the actual online program itself; worked. These interviews allowed us a clear insight into what we needed to do better for coaches to succeed.
We have redesigned 3 new programs, added Mentoring at every level and tied together the communication loop and accountability between :
- Madlab and the apprentice
- Madlab and the mentor coach
- The mentor coach and the apprentice
We then went to our owner development department and had them recommend about 20 gyms that were in a good position to take on Coach development. Hint: Certified 1st seal gyms or higher and have an optimized client development process where coaches can succeed.
We (Mork and I) got on a zoom call with all 20 owners/ mentor coaches and explained the new programs and then interviewed all their coaches who might qualify for the new programs. IT was a lot of work but well worth the effort. To say it was well received “with exuberance and excitement” would be an understatement. Out of the 21 owners / mentor coaches interviewed 19 joined the Mentor Coach Support Network and also signed up 26 coaches into one of the new mentored programs.
Our first round is now sold out!!
The next round of interviews will begin June 4th. Get in contact with your Implementation manager and see if you qualify or make a plan to qualify for the next round. Me and my Man MORK look forward to that meeting with you.

By the way…..Once we get all (or most) of you and your coaches into a mentored program delivering results on the ground……. My mission will be to tackle coach acquisition. Marketing to and finding competent coaches who want to be full time professional coaches is the next step for our team.
